Choosing the right support
What is SEO meant to achieve?
SEO helps people find and understand your website through search. For a service business, we connect that work to relevant enquiries and commercial priorities, rather than treating traffic alone as success.
Do I need local, national or B2B SEO?
Local SEO focuses on a defined area; national SEO covers wider geographical demand. B2B describes selling to businesses, so it can overlap with either. Your customers, services and coverage determine the plan.
Do you support ecommerce and Shopify?
Yes. Ecommerce work considers product and category discovery and the buying journey. Shopify support can include content, site structure and agreed technical or measurement tasks.
Should we start with an audit?
An audit can be useful when the cause of a problem is unclear, the website has changed significantly or there is no reliable starting point. A clearly defined small task may not need a full audit first.
Google Business Profile and AI discovery
Is Google Business Profile the same as Google My Business?
Google My Business is the former name of Google Business Profile. We support eligible businesses with creation, optimisation and ongoing management.
Does our website still matter if we have a profile?
Yes. Your website can explain services, suitability, coverage and supporting evidence in more depth, and provide a clear route to enquiry.
What do AEO and GEO mean?
AEO means answer engine optimisation and GEO means generative engine optimisation. We use these terms for work on discovery through answers and AI-assisted search, alongside the fundamentals of SEO.
Can you guarantee AI recommendations or number-one rankings?
No. Search and AI platforms control their results. We focus on useful, accurate content, technical access and measurable progress within the agreed scope.
Cost, progress and working together
How much does SEO support cost?
One-off projects use £85 per hour. Monthly support uses a £70 hourly equivalent, with Local SEO starting at £350 for five hours. Scope, total cost and any applicable VAT are agreed before starting.
How quickly can SEO work?
There is no reliable universal timescale. Your starting point, competition, the work required and implementation all matter. We establish a baseline and agree when to review progress.
What will you report on?
We agree measures relevant to the scope, such as important-page visibility, organic visits and successful enquiries. Sales feedback helps us assess lead quality. We explain any tracking or attribution gaps.
Can you work with our developer or marketing team?
Yes. We agree responsibilities, access and approvals so our work fits alongside theirs. Communication and review time are part of the allocation.
Will you take on every client?
No. We check the opportunity, fit and capacity before committing. The aim is a useful partnership with enough time and resources to do the work properly.
Can we stop monthly support?
Rolling monthly support has a 30-day notice period. The proposal sets out the terms and handover arrangements.
